Anti-tuberculosis drugs (OAT) have side effects on the body because taking drugs continuously during treatment can cause drug accumulation in the body which can affect erythrocytes. Therefore, the longer tuberculosis patients take OAT, the more red blood cells decrease, resulting in anemia. The purpose of examining the number of erythrocytes is to determine the number of erythrocytes in patients with Tuberculosis during the treatment period at Puskesmas Kuta alam Banda Aceh in 2024. This study uses descriptive method research. Aims to provide a description of what actually happened. This research was conducted at the Kuta Alam Health Center, Banda Aceh City. The number of samples of this study were 6 respondents. Of the 6 respondents, 4 respondents 67% were normal with an average erythrocyte count of 4.60 million/uL and 2 respondents 33% were low in patients who had undergone treatment for 3 months. The results showed 4 respondents (67%) had normal erythrocyte counts, 2 respondents (33%) had low erythrocyte counts
Reta Hanifa Salwa, Irwana Wahab Copyright (c) 2024 AICH : Aceh International Conference on Health https://journal.poltekkesaceh.ac.id/index.php/aich/article/view/695 Sun, 18 Aug 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Effectiveness Of Gargling Boiled Water From Guava Leaves Against Plaque Index https://journal.poltekkesaceh.ac.id/index.php/aich/article/view/679
Dental plaque is a collection of microorganisms on the surface of the teeth in the form of a biofilm which can affect the oral cavity system. One way to control plaque is by gargling. Guava leaves have two important components, namely guaijaverin as an antibacterial and has high potential in the defense process to inhibit plaque growth by reducing hydrophobicity which is the main factor for bacteria to stick to the tooth surface, and the flavonoid quercetin which functions as anti-inflammatory, spasmolytic activity. antioxidant, and antimicrobial. The aim of this research was to determine the effectiveness of gargling with boiled water from guava leaves on the plaque index in class IV students at SD Negeri Lamsayuen Aceh Besar. The type of research used was a quasi experiment with a pretest-posttest design with control group. Carried out at Lamsayuen Aceh Besar State Elementary School, data collection was carried out by examining the plaque index. The population taken in this study was all 40 class IV students. The sample taken in this study used a saturated sampling method, namely the sample used was 40 people, 20 people in the group gargling boiled water with guava leaves and 20 people in the group gargling water. mineral. The results of the study showed that the p value (probability value) using a statistical test, Paired Sample T-Test p = 0.000 was smaller than 0.05 or (p=0.000<0.05), so there was a difference in plaque index in the group gargling with boiled leaf water. guava and mineral water group. Conclusion, that gargling boiled water from guava leaves is effective in reducing the plaque index in class IV students at SD Negeri Lamsayuen Aceh Besar. The research results can be used to provide information to others that boiled water from guava leaves can reduce the plaque index.
Hilda Filya, Teuku Salfiyadi, Reca Reca, Cut Aja Nuraskin Copyright (c) 2024 AICH : Aceh International Conference on Health https://journal.poltekkesaceh.ac.id/index.php/aich/article/view/679 Mon, 19 Aug 2024 00:00:00 +0000 Anthocyanin Utilization Of Mangsian Fruit Extract (Phyllanthus Reticulatus) As An Alternative Colorant In Blood Meal Preparation (SADT) https://journal.poltekkesaceh.ac.id/index.php/aich/article/view/693
The peripheral blood smear (SADT) examination is important for medical diagnosis. It involves staining blood preparations to allow clear visualization of peripheral blood cells, which include erythrocytes, leukocytes and platelets. One of the guarantees of the validity of SADT results is the quality of the SADT stain. Giemsa stain has disadvantages related to toxicity, availability of hazardous chemicals, and negative impact on the environment. Anthocyanins, natural pigment compounds found in many fruits, flowers, and vegetables, show great potential as natural colorants in SADT staining. One example is anthocyanins from mangsian fruit (Phyllanthus reticulatus), as a safer and environmentally friendly alternative. This plant contains tannic acid, terpenoids, flavonoids, phenolic compounds, and steroids. This study aims to assess the effectiveness of anthocyanin extract of mangsian fruit (Phyllanthus reticulatus) as an alternative coloring in peripheral blood smear preparations (SADT). The method used is experimental research, which is research that aims to determine the effects that arise as a result of certain treatments on a variable, by testing concentrations of 50%, 40%, 30%, and 20%. The results showed that anthocyanin extract was less effective in staining blood cells, macroscopically and microscopically, erythrocyte and leukocyte cells could not absorb the color of the dye properly.
Fatma Raihani, Irwana Wahab Copyright (c) 2024 AICH : Aceh International Conference on Health https://journal.poltekkesaceh.ac.id/index.php/aich/article/view/693 Sun, 18 Aug 2024 00:00:00 +0000 The Effect Of Puzzle Media On Dental And Oral Health Knowledge In Grade Ii Students At SDN 2 Lamcot Aceh Besar Regency https://journal.poltekkesaceh.ac.id/index.php/aich/article/view/684
Dental and oral health knowledge in school students needs to get special attention to dental and oral health because at this age students are undergoing a process of growth and development, so it is necessary to carry out dental and oral health education about puzzle media in pupil.
