The purpose of this study was to determine the Relationship between Dental Health Knowledge and Adolescent Caries Status at SMA Negeri 9 Banda Aceh. This research is analytical with a cross-sectional approach, conducted at SMA Negeri 9 Banda Aceh. The results of the study on adolescent knowledge about dental health are still in the sufficient category, with the status of dental caries in the medium category in adolescents at SMA Negeri 9 Banda Aceh, the most dental health knowledge in the sufficient category as many as 29 people (53.7%), and the status of adolescent caries the most in the moderate category as many as 23 people (42.6%). The results of statistical analysis with the Chi Square test, obtained the significance value of the relationship between dental health knowledge and caries status in adolescents with a P Value value: 0.05. Therefore, adolescents must be more active in seeking information about dental health, in order to avoid the status of caries which greatly affects dental health.
Linda Suryani Putroe Nurul Syifa Elfi Zahara Copyright (c) 2023 @linda,-240979 suryani https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 2023-12-14 2023-12-14 2 2 1 5 10.30867/dheja.v2i2.241 The Effect Of Counselling With Demonstration Methods On Tooth Brushing Skills In Students Sdn 1 Lampeuneurut Aceh Besar https://journal.poltekkesaceh.ac.id/index.php/dheja/article/view/358
Good and correct tooth brushing skills in children are very necessary in maintaining oral hygiene as an effort to prevent oral health problems. The biggest dental problems occur in children because they do not know how to maintain oral health. Brushing teeth is an activity to clean teeth from food debris, plaque and bacteria. The population in this study were all students of class IV and V SDN 1 lampeuneurut Aceh Besar. The sample in this study amounted to 50 respondents. The analysis conducted was univariate and bivariate analysis with T-Test statistical test. The results of the research before and after (pre-post) using the Paired Sample T-Test Test obtained a p value of 0.001 or p < 0.05. In the pre-test results, respondents who had good brushing skills were 12 people (24%), and respondents who had poor brushing skills were 38 (76%). After being given counselling with the demonstration method, it was found that there was a significant increase in tooth brushing skills in SDN 1 Lampeuneurut Aceh Besar students, namely most respondents had good tooth brushing skills as many as 37 people (74%) and those who had poor tooth brushing skills were 13 people (26%). On The Colonization Of Plaque-Forming Bacteria https://journal.poltekkesaceh.ac.id/index.php/dheja/article/view/484
Background: The cause of dental and oral disease is plaque. Plaque is formed due to bacteria, such as Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginoda and Escherichia coli. Plaque formation can be controlled by mechanical and chemical means. To control the formation of plaque can be done by using natural ingredients that contain antibacterial, one of the plants that contain antibacterial is senduduk fruit (Melastoma Malabathricum L.) This plant contains saponins, flavonoids and tannins which are chemical compounds and have potential as antibacterials. Objective: To determine the effectiveness of senduduk fruit paste (Melastoma Malabathricum L.) against plaque-forming bacteria colonization. Method: This study uses a true experiment with a pre and post-test control group design, In this study, the number of samples was calculated using the Federer formula and randomly selected. Data analysis using Two Way Anova. Results: Based on the treatment group the value is 0.000 <0.050. So it was concluded based on the treatment group had a significant effect on the number of results. Based on the time group value 0.248> 0.050. So it was concluded based on the time group did not have a significant effect on the number of results. Based on the treatment group and time (simultaneous/ together) the Sig value is 0.000 <0.050. So it can be concluded based on the time treatment group has a significant effect on the total results. Conclusion: senduduk fruit paste (Melastoma Malabathricum L.
Marlindayanti Marlindayanti Nur Adiba Hanum Dias Mita Aulia Copyright (c) 2023 Marlindayanti Marlindayanti, Nur Adiba Hanum, Dias Mita Aulia https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/ 2023-12-14 2023-12-14 2 2 18 22 10.30867/dheja.v2i2.484 The Relationship Between Brushing Habits And Oral Hygiene Status (Ohi-S) In Students Of Sd Negeri Kandang Cut, Darul Imarah District, Aceh Regency https://journal.poltekkesaceh.ac.id/index.php/dheja/article/view/485
Regular teeth cleaning is a treatment for dental and oral diseases that can be done alone.
