Pengaruh Perawatan Payudara terhadap Peningkatan Produksi ASI pada Masa Nifas

Produksi ASI yang tidak optimal merupakan salah satu masalah yang dapat menghambat keberhasilan pemberian ASI pada ibu nifas. Perawatan payudara merupakan salah satu tindakan sederhana yang dapat dilakukan untuk membantu merangsang dan meningkatkan produksi ASI. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh perawatan payudara terhadap peningkatan produksi ASI pada ibu nifas. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain pre-experimental dan pendekatan one group pretest-posttest. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 34 ibu nifas yang dipilih menggunakan teknik total sampling. Produksi ASI diukur sebelum dan sesudah pemberian perawatan payudara selama tujuh hari. Analisis data menggunakan uji Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test dengan tingkat kemaknaan α=0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan median produksi ASI setelah diberikan perawatan payudara. Pada hari ketujuh, median produksi ASI meningkat dari 12,00 ml sebelum intervensi menjadi 14,00 ml sesudah intervensi. Hasil uji Wilcoxon menunjukkan nilai p=0,000 pada hari ketujuh dan p<0,05 pada seluruh hari pengukuran. Perawatan payudara berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan produksi ASI pada ibu nifas.
