Authorship Criteria

Jurnal Ilmiah Farmasi Simplisia (JIFS) follows the authorship principles established by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE). Authorship should be based on substantial intellectual contributions to the research and accountability for the published work.

To qualify as an author, an individual must meet all four of the following criteria:

Make substantial contributions to the conception or design of the study, the acquisition of data, or the analysis or interpretation of data.

Draft the manuscript or critically revise it for important intellectual content.

Approve the final version of the manuscript to be published.

Agree to be accountable for all aspects of the work, ensuring that questions related to the accuracy or integrity of any part of the work are appropriately investigated and resolved.

All individuals who meet these criteria should be listed as authors. Individuals who do not meet all authorship criteria but have contributed to the research may be acknowledged appropriately in the Acknowledgements section, with their permission.

Author Contributions

Authors are encouraged to provide a clear statement describing each author's contribution to the research and manuscript preparation. JIFS may use the Contributor Roles Taxonomy (CRediT) to identify individual contributions, such as conceptualization, methodology, investigation, data curation, formal analysis, and writing.

A CRediT contribution statement does not, by itself, determine authorship eligibility. All listed authors must meet the authorship criteria described above.
