Post-Publication Discussion
JIFS supports post-publication discussion as part of its commitment to scientific transparency, research integrity, and the continuous development of scientific knowledge.
Readers and researchers who wish to raise scientific questions, provide comments, or express concerns regarding articles published in JIFS may contact the editorial office through the journal's official communication channels. All submissions must be evidence-based, relevant to the published work, and expressed in a professional and respectful manner.
The editorial team will assess post-publication comments and concerns based on their scientific merit, relevance, and supporting evidence. When necessary, the authors of the article concerned may be invited to respond. The editorial team may also consult independent experts to assist in evaluating the issues raised.
If a post-publication discussion identifies potential errors, unreliable findings, ethical concerns, or possible research misconduct, the journal will investigate the matter in accordance with its Publication Ethics policy and recognized publication ethics guidelines. Depending on the findings, appropriate actions may include publishing a correction, an editorial note, an expression of concern, or a retraction.
Post-publication comments and responses may be published at the discretion of the editorial team, subject to editorial assessment and the journal's publication policies. All parties involved are expected to maintain academic integrity, confidentiality where appropriate, and respectful scientific communication.
