Peer Review Process
All manuscripts submitted to Jurnal Ilmiah Farmasi Simplisia (JIFS) undergo an initial editorial assessment to determine their suitability for the journal's focus and scope, compliance with submission requirements, and basic scientific quality.
Manuscripts that pass the initial assessment are sent to at least two independent peer reviewers with relevant expertise. Reviewers evaluate the manuscript's originality, scientific significance, methodological appropriateness, validity of the results, clarity of presentation, and contribution to pharmaceutical sciences.
Based on the reviewers' comments and the editor's assessment, the manuscript may be accepted, returned for minor or major revision, or rejected. Revised manuscripts may be sent for further review when necessary.
The final publication decision rests with the editor, taking into consideration the reviewers' recommendations and the manuscript's scientific quality. The editorial team communicates decisions and relevant reviewer comments to the authors.
The review process is conducted with due consideration for confidentiality, fairness, objectivity, and publication ethics.
